## Frequently Asked Questions

 What is MFA?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) verifies your identity by requiring at least two distinct proofs, such as a password and Face ID.

 Why are we adding MFA?

MFA reduces the risk of unauthorized access in the case of a stolen password. It has become a standard feature in online banking security, and we’re upgrading our systems to keep up with industry best practices.

 How will MFA work?

MFA will be added to online banking and our mobile app. Starting October 15, when you log in, you'll be prompted to confirm your identity using a second method in addition to your password. This will only take a few moments and greatly improves the security of your accounts. You'll be able to choose the option that works best for you:

● Email code – a one-time code sent to your email address
● Text message (SMS) – a one-time code sent to your phone
● Biometric data – verification through your device's face ID, fingerprint ID, etc.

To ensure a smooth process, please make sure your email address and mobile phone number are up to date in your online banking profile settings before October 15.

Will online or mobile banking be down at all?

There should be no disruption to online banking or our mobile app.

Do I need to do anything to get ready?

Before October 15, please check your online banking profile and make sure your email address and mobile phone number are correct. If you want to send your MFA code to either, it’s important we have the right information on file.

How do I check my email address and phone number?

After signing in to the FFFCU Mobile app:

1. Tap the profile circle in the upper-right corner.
2. Select **Personal Information** and review your information.
3. Tap **Edit Personal Information** to make changes.
